Last night I went to Tis Coili, a pub with traditional Irish music, traditional Irish drinks, and a traditional Irish guy named Patrick who decided that this particular tourist needed to try each and every beer, wine and spirit that is brewed, distilled and fermented in the fine nation of Ireland.
Fortunately, someone has a clip on YouTube from this very pub. The shaky footage is a pretty accurate representation of what the pub looked like after a few drinks:
After raising untold pints of Guinness, Murphy’s, Harp, Smithwick’s, Magner’s, Jameson, Bushmills and assorted other beverages that do not play well with one another, I retired to my hotel room to offer my stomach to the plumbing and embrace the most god awful hangover of a lifetime.
Needless to say, I did not have the heart to take many photos the next day.
Here are the few shots that I did manage to snap between groans:
I’m not entirely sure if I actually saw this. It may have been a figment of my hangover.
Ditto:
They actually have a butcher shop in the mall. How cool is that?
